MSA Drives in HPE server?

I have 24 1TB 7200RPM MSA drives, and 24 900GB 10K RPM drives.  I was wondering if they can be used in HPE servers, especially in Gen10.  Also, I've seen that third-party sites have the brackets for Gen10 servers, so another question would be if we can take the SAS drive out of the MSA bracket and put it in the server brackets.  My concern is that the firmware on the drive is the compatibiliy issue and there's probably no way to change it.

I was hoping to use these drives to construct a TrueNas box with a 24-slot DL380 Gen10.

We decommissioned the MSA SANs when we put in a Nimble all-flash array and especially decomissioned the old fiber-channel infrastructure.  The MSA chassis have already been recycled.  I would think a Gen10 would be a much better option than all of the applance type NAS units out there like QNAP, Synology, etc.
