FYI: 24 drives, each 2.4 TB (57.6 TB RAW ) will give you 38.36 TB useable in VMware 8.

Hopefully someone may find this usefull when sizing their MSA for VMware 8.

If you load an MSA 2060 with 24 drives each 2.4TB in size and you create one Disk Group in one Pool and create 1 Volume:

If you have (24) 2.4 TB drives that’s = 57.6 TB RAW

If you create only one Disk Group using "MSA-DP+" then that gives you = 42.1 TB

If you take that 42.1 TB and present it as a single Volume to VMware, then VMware will format the storage and you will end up with = 38.36 TB

Therefore, 57.6 TB RAW = 38.36 TB useable.

Just in case you were wondering.
